Windsor & Eton Brewery has launched a competition for amateur brewers to develop a special Magna Carta beer to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the signing of the "Great Charter" in June 2015. Innis & Gunn, the Edinburgh-based innovators of wood-aged beer, have gone on a Grand Tour of the country's five whisky-producing regions. They have aged an amber ale style known as "a Wee Heavy" in oak barrels garnered from major distillers.
