Craft beer bonanza back in London
Craft Beer Rising returns to London for the fifth year running with 170 breweries lining up to present their brews to the crowds. Goose Island will feature a virtual reality tour of its hop farm and brewery in the U.S. while Fuller's will unveil a Black IPA and Sierra Nevada from California will have a bar dedicated to its beers.

Hops to get boost at major beer fest
Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest brewer, based in the heart of the Kent hop fields, will unveil a special video dedicated to hops during Craft Beer Rising in London on 23-26 February. The video will feature Tony Redsell, the famous Kent hop farmer, and is shot at Parsonage Farm near Faversham

British beer writers honour Daisy Claeys
Daisy Claeys, who ran the legendary Brugs Beertje bar in Bruges for more than 30 years, was honoured on 3 February by members of the British Guild of Beer Writers who presented her with an engaved tankard that thanked her for inspiring "a generation of British beer writers". Top Greene King beers go gluten free
Leading independent brewer Greene King will launch two of its top beers -- IPA and Old Speckled Hen -- in gluten free form in early February. The launch is in response to research that shows 32% of British people eat and drink "free from" products while 2% of the population has a gluten allergy and 1% are coeliac

Peter Pan flies high with magic pale ale
The National Theatre's production of Peter Pan for the holiday period will be boosted by a special beer, Tink's Tiny Batch, that will be available in The Understudy pub on the South Bank and the theatre's bars and restaurants. The beer is brewed by Hammerton's in Islington and is based on its N1 American-style pale ale with the addition of Citra hops.
