Wells & Young's Bombardier Bus (pictured) will be in attendance and the historic Courage Russian Imperial Stout will be available in cask form. And Brains of Cardiff will weigh in with a beer made with the addition of bacon!

Morse rides to the rescue of English hops
A new hop called Endeavour -- named in honour of beer-loving Inspector Morse -- has been grown in a bid to offer British brewers the citrus fruit aroma and flavour they demand for modern pale ales. Beer fest will scale Olympian heights
The 36th Great British Beer Festival returns to London Olympia on 13-17 August, with 400 British cask beers and a great choice from many other countries. The opening day will see the unveiling of this year's Champion Beer of Britain while leading beer writers will stage a series of talks and tastings

It's abbey birthday to Yorkshire monks' ale
One year after it was launched, monks at Ampleforth Abbey in North Yorkshire are celebrating the success of their Abbey strong ale, brewed in the Belgian Trappist tradition. Father Terence, prior of the abbey, is seen with a birthday cake made in the shape of the beer bottle

Cornish Doom Bar is now top of the hops
Cornish brewer Sharp's has announced that Doom Bar is now the No 1 cask beer in the UK. As the brewery at Rock -- now owned by global giant Molson Coors -- prepares to mark its 20th anniversary, Doom Bar is recording sales growth of 45% a year. Image shows staff at the brewery celebrating the news
