Badger Iron Hart, Hall & Woodhouse

Added: Monday, June 1st 2026

Style Pale Ale ABV 5.2%

Badger Iron Hart (5.2%)

Hall & Woodhouse, famous for its Badger beers, has added a new bottled ale to its range. The brewery, which will celebrate 250 years of brewing in 2027, is based in Blandford Forum in Dorset.

It names many beers after local wildlife and this time a tree has been chosen.

The beer meets the growing demand for bottled beers with a higher alcohol level than traditional pale ales. H&W bottled beers are outperforming the market and Iron Hart should have a strong appeal to ale drinkers.

It’s brewed with Extra Pale Malt and is hopped with two American varieties, Amarillo and Cascade. It has a honey and biscuit note from the malt, balanced by citrus fruit and spice from the hops. Powerful hop bitterness dominates the palate and finish.

It costs £2.35 for a 500ml bottle and is available in Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.
