Whitstable Bay Pale Ale, Shepherd Neame

Added: Sunday, August 3rd 2025

Style Pale Ale ABV 4.0%

Whitstable Bay Pale Ale 4%

Shepherd Neame has redesigned and rebranded its Whitstable Bay range of special beers that include both ales and lagers, some of which use organic ingredients.

The brewery is Britain’s oldest, dating from 1698, and it still uses pure spring water from an onsite artesian well. The brewery is based in the ancient market town of Faversham with nearby Whitstable on the coast a popular tourist attraction.

Pale Ale is brewed with pale malt and a dab of crystal malt. The hops are English Challenger and Styrian Goldings from Slovenia.

It has an enticing pale bronze colour with honeyed malt and spicy hops on the aroma. The palate is a fine balance of rich malt and spicy hops, followed by a long and rewarding finish with a good balance of juicy malt and spicy hops.

The draught version is on sale in Shep’s pubs while the bottled beer can be bought from the brewery’s online shop: www.shop.shepherdneame.co.uk

It’s the perfect summer refresher.
