This was a standout beer at my Lussmanns Beer Dinner last night. Mad Squirrel's XX Bourbon Imperial Stout, 11.6%, to mark their 20th anniversary, aged in whisky barrels for 18 months. Sadly they may not brew again as the long conditioning time delays other beers.

Just off to Lussmanns Craft Beer Evening at the Five Bells Berkhamsted. I'm teaming up with Mad Squirrel founder Greg Blesson to present the beers to accompany a specially curated menu. Always fine beers & food at Lussmanns. (Sold out.)
