Style Strong Pale Ale ABV 6.5%

Greene King Heritage Vintage Fine Ale 6.5%

Greene King in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, has used the rare Chevallier malting barley to create two beers http://protzonbeer.co.uk/news/2018/01/31/greene-king-brings-back-taste-of-the-past

Vintage is brewed with pale and amber malts and is hopped with three English varieties, Bramling Cross, Fuggles and Goldings.

The beer has a vast fluffy head and a ruby red colour. The aroma offers oatmeal biscuits, walnuts and caramel with spicy hop notes. Rich chewy malt dominates the palate with dark fruit, caramel and spicy hops. The finish is bittersweet with ripe fruit, juicy malt and spicy and peppery hops.

The beer is exclusive to Tesco stores at £2.49 a bottle. Please note: if stores have sold out, a new batch will be available in April.
