This bottle-conditioned beer is the brewery’s award-winning Totty Pot Porter with the addition of Ruby port wine. It’s brewed with Maris Otter pale malt, crystal, chocolate and roasted malts and is hopped with English Goldings and Northdown varieties.

The brewery was founded in 2006 at Winchester Farm in Cheddar, Somerset. The substantial 100-barrel brewery has a production split of around 85% cask beer, with the remainder available in bottle-conditioned form. Close to 75,000 bottles are produced annually, with 450 outlets and 80 pubs supplied.

The deep russet/chestnut coloured beer has an earthy and wood aroma with hints of chocolate, liquorice, smoked and roasted grain and a rich vinous note from the wine. The hops deliver a peppery and spicy note in the mouth, balancing the richness of grain and wine. The finish is complex and lingering, with bitter chocolate vying for attention with vinous notes, roasted grain and spicy hops.
